Pyrenees was winless in four starts as a 2-year-old in 2022, finishing in the top three in two of his four starts. He did not race for 11 months before resurfacing in December 2023, when he won a 1 1/16-mile maiden special weight race by 4 ½ length at Fair Grounds.
The Into Mischief colt made his 4-year-old bow a winning one with a 2 ¼-length win in a 1 1/16-mile allowance-optional claiming race on a muddy track Jan. 27, 2024, at Fair Grounds.

Pyrenees next led from start to finish on a sloppy track at 1 1/8 miles during the Keeneland spring meet for a three-length win before he was tested by trainer Cherie DeVaux against stakes competition. Entered in the $250,000 Pimlico Special Stakes on the May 17 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes undercard, Pyrenees reeled in odds-on favorite Kingsbarns, a multiple graded stakes winner, in deep stretch to win the 1 3/16-mile, Grade 3 race by three-quarters of a length and earn his first stakes win and graded stakes win.
Grade 3 winner Our Khrysty, by Newfoundland, is the dam (mother) of Pyrenees as well as Grade 1 winner Grace Adler and stakes winner American Smooth.
