Regal Realm

Regal Realm won her maiden race in his second career start as a 3-year-old in a race at Delaware Park on May 26, 2023. She was winless in five allowance starts the rest of the year in 2023 when racing on several circuits including Monmouth Park, Woodbine, Belmont Park, and Gulfstream. 

Regal Realm got back into the win column twice in the early stages of her 4-year-old season, including an allowance optional claiming win at Gulfstream Park on Feb. 26 followed by another win in her next start in an allowance optional claiming race at Belmont Park on May 18. She then kept his winning ways going in his next start against stakes competition for the first time with a victory in the $76,000 Lady Canterbury Stakes going one mile on the turf at Canterbury Park on June 22.  She also recorded a third-place finish in the $135,000 De La Rose Stakes going one mile on the turf at Saratoga on Aug. 2.

Regal Realm recorded her first graded stakes win of her career on Sept. 9 when she scored in the Grade 3 $1 million Castle Hill Gaming Ladies Turf Stakes at Kentucky Downs atop of field of seven filly and mare turf milers. She went wire-to-wire and was never challenged en route to a 1 1/4-length victory.

Regal Realm is trained by Jonathan Thomas. He was bred in Kentucky by the sire Animal Kingdom out of the mare Sky Willow by Empire Maker.
