Surfside Moon made his 3-year-old debut on Feb. 1, 2025, at Aqueduct in the 1 1/8-mile $250,000 Withers Stakes and finished a competitive second at odds of 33-1. The Withers was a points race on the road to the 2025 Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve, and with his runner-up finish he earned 10 qualifying points.
