This Ontario-bred gelding broke his maiden at first asking on Oct. 21, 2018. He won a maiden optional claiming race by two lengths in a 13.40-1 upset, under jockey Alan Garcia.
After that win, he went to the sidelines for the year, and returned to the races in June 2019. He won twice at the Woodbine meet from six starts, with one win on turf and one victory on the synthetic.

In 2021, Town Cruise won back-to-back races on turf, then earned his first graded-stakes placing with a second-place finish in the Grade 2 King Edward Stakes on Aug. 15. Four weeks later, he did one better, winning the Grade 1 Ricoh Woodbine Mile Stakes in a gate-to-wire score. He won by 2 1/4 lengths, to earn a spot in the starting gate for the Grade 1 FanDuel Breeders' Cup Mile Presented by PJDF at Del Mar on Nov. 5.
