Uncontrollable won her maiden race at first asking in a Del Mar California-bred 2-year-old race going 5 1/2 furlongs on July 22, 2022. From there she went straight up against state-bred stakes competition and finished second in the Cal-bred $125,000 Generous Portion Stakes where she closed from last in an eight-horse field to get up for second, seven lengths clear of the third-place finisher.

Despite being sent off at 24-1 odds in the field of seven, Uncontrollable ran a competitive race to get within three-quarters of a length of winner And Tell Me Nolies in second in the 1 1/16-mile race. She was 4 3/4 lengths clear of the third-place runner, Justique.
Uncontrollable was bred in California by the sire Upstart out of the mare Behavioral by Include. She is owned by Repole Stable and trained by Michael McCarthy.
