Richard Eramia is a prominent jockey on the Midwest circuit and finished fourth in the Fair Grounds jockey standings during its 2015-2016 meet with 57 wins.
A native of Uruguay, Eramia began his riding career there before moving to the U.S. in the early 2000s. Eramia has also enjoyed success at other Midwest tracks such as Remington Park and Louisiana Downs, and picked up his first graded stakes win in 2012 aboard Gantry in the Grade 2 Smile Sprint Handicap.
