April 1 is on the horizon, and no fooling – we are deep in the thick of the final round of prep races for the 2023 Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve.

If you’re heading to Dubai for this year’s Dubai World Cup March 30 at Meydan Racecourse, you’re in for a treat. From the futuristic skyline to the vibrant culture, it’s a place like no other. Whether you’re an adventure seeker, food lover, or fan of architecture and culture, there’s something for everyone. Here are five must-do activities that promise to make your trip to Dubai an unforgettable one.

Desert Safari

After a relatively quiet weekend with no major races on the schedule, activity picks back up in a big way March 25-26, with three qualifying points preps for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve slated on these shores as well as this year’s Dubai World Cup Festival featuring another Derby points race held on the other side of the globe at Meydan Racecourse.

This upcoming late week and weekend in North American horse racing promises to be the quietest of 2023 so far. There are no qualifying points races for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve on the schedule – which will not be the case for every subsequent weekend through April 15 – and only two graded stakes races on tap, both Saturday, March 18 at Oaklawn Park.

Another exciting weekend on the road to the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve is coming up, as all eyes will focus on central Florida for the Lambholm South Tampa Bay Derby at Tampa Bay Downs Saturday, March 11.
