Unplaced in two Grade 2 starts in the U.S. in 2018, he finished third in his first start of 2019 in an allowance race at Santa Anita Park. Returning to graded stakes competition, True Valour closed from off the pace to post a half-length win in the Grade 3 Thunder Road Stakes on Feb. 9 at Santa Anita. True Valour followed with a determined victory in the Grade 2 City of Hope Mile Stakes Oct. 5, 2019, at Santa Anita.

After a winless campaign in 2020 and a sixth-place finish in Dubai in March of 2021, True Valour went to the sidelines for more than a year. He returned with a victory in the King T. Leatherbury Stakes at Laurel Park on Apr. 23, 2022, for his first stakes win in 2 1/2 years. He returned to graded stakes competition next and ran third in the Grade 1 Jaipur Stakes in June and second in the Grade 3 Troy Stakes in August.
