Laura’s Light won her career debut by 2 ½ lengths in November 2019 on the synthetic main track at Golden Gate Fields. The Constitution filly followed with a second-place finish in the Grade 3 Jimmy Durante Stakes Nov. 30 while stretching out to a mile and switching to the turf. She closed out her juvenile season with a dominant, front-running win by 3 ¼ lengths in the Dec. 29 Blue Norther Stakes at Santa Anita Park.

Laura’s Light returned from a short layoff with a win sprinting on the grass in the Grade 3 Sweet Life Stakes Feb. 16 at Santa Anita. Her connections next opted to try their luck with her on the Longines Kentucky Oaks trail and she faded late to finish fourth in the Maxim Crane Works Bourbonette Oaks on the synthetic main track at Turfway Park.
Trainer Peter Miller placed her back on the grass for her next race in the Grade 3 Honeymoon Stakes May 30 at Santa Anita Park, where she stalked the pace from second, seized the advantage in early stretch, and then held on to win by a neck. In her next start, Laura’s Light pressed the pace and edged away to a comfortable three-quarter-length win in the Grade 2 San Clemente Stakes July 25 at Del Mar.
