Freedom Fighter made a nice impression in his career debut, leading from start to finish to win a five-furlong sprint Aug. 1, 2020 at Del Mar. That was the only start for the Violence colt during his 2-year-old season.
He returned off the long layoff for Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert in the Grade 2 San Vicente Stakes Feb. 6 at Santa Anita Park, stretching out to seven-eighths of a mile while facing a big jump in class. Freedom Fighter set the pace and battled gamely in the stretch but could not shake off stablemate Concert Tour, who edged past late to prevail.

Six-time stakes winner Canadian Ballet, by City Zip, is the dam of Freedom Fighter.
