Beautiful Gift, a Medaglia d’Oro filly owned and bred by Baoma Corp. and trained by Bob Baffert, finished third in her debut at Del Mar in September 2020 and then won her second start at Santa Anita Park in late October, running down a pacesetter with a long lead to prevail by a half-length in a one-mile race.

After a four-month break, the filly returned on March 7 in the Grade 3, 1 1/16-mile Santa Ysabel Stakes at Santa Anita. Once again, she made up a lot of ground in the homestretch to get up late and win, edging Moraz by a head. Beautiful Gift earned 50 qualifying points for the 2021 Longines Kentucky Oaks with the victory. She followed with a hard-fought runner-up finish to Soothsay in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Oaks April 3.
Beautiful Gift is out of the winning A.P. Indy mare Sea Gift and is a half-sister to Sunland Derby winner Chitu.
