Full Count Felicia

Full Count Felicia began her racing career as a 2-year-old on Aug. 13, 2021 at Saratoga but didn't score her maiden victory until nearly a year later in her eighth lifetime race on Aug. 1, 2022 at Colonial Downs. She later ended her 2022 season with an allowance win at Laurel Park on Nov. 19. Full Count Felicia began her 4-year-old season in 2023 right where she left off at the end of 2022 by winning two more consecutive races on Aug. 19, 2023 at Colonial Downs and on Sept. 16 when she became a stakes winner for the first time with a victory in the All Along Stakes at Pimlico.

Full Count Felicia finished her 2023 campaign in style with a win in the Grade 3, $150,000 Suwannee River Stakes at Gulfstream Park on Dec. 30 when she topped an eight-horse field going a mile on the turf by three-quarters of a length as the 11-10 favorite.

Full Count Felicia was unplaced in a pair of graded stakes to begin her 5-year-old season in 2024, but she regained her winning form in her third start of the season with a front-running 2 ¾-length victory in the Grade 2 Canadian Stakes Presented by Japan Racing Association Aug. 10 at Woodbine.

Full Count Felicia then scored a repeat Woodbine turf win in her following start to earn her biggest career victory to date when she won the Grade 1 $750,000 E.P. Taylor Stakes going 1 1/4 miles on Sept. 14. Full Count Felicia was sent off as the 7.80-1 fourth choice on the tote board in a field of five fillies and mares but the victory was never in doubt as she went right to the front, established an early seven-length lead, extended the lead to nearly 20 lengths on the backstretch, and then held on for the easiest kind of three-length victory at the finish. 

Full Count Felicia is trained by Brittany Russell. She was bred in Kentucky by the sire War Front out of the Irish mare Claire de Lune by Galileo.
