Galt broke his maiden in his third career try, taking a 1 1/16-mile maiden special weight race at Gulfstream Park by three lengths. Breaking from the inside post, he saved plenty of ground on the inside, then made his move to the front on the far turn and drew off to an impressive victory.
Galt finished fourth in the Grade 3 Holy Bull Stakes at Gulfstream on Feb. 5, after setting the early pace. He earned one qualifying point on the road to the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve in the process.
