Ag Bullet

Ag Bullet burst onto the scene in her second career start at the beginning of her 3-year-old season with her maiden win in a 6 ½-furlong flat turf sprint at Santa Anita on Jan. 22, 2023. She then stretched to one mile on the turf at Santa Anita in her following start and won the $100,000 Lady Shamrock Stakes.

Ag Bullet did more winning at Santa Anita to start off her 4-year-old campaign. She began the 2024 season with a victory in the $100,000 Wishing Well Stakes going 6 1/2 furlongs on the downhill turf course. In her next race, Ag Bullet won her first graded stakes when she rolled to victory in the $100,000 Grade 3 Monrovia Stakes going 6 1/2 furlongs on the downhill turf course on April 6.

After earning another stakes win coming off a layoff in the $100,000 Osunitas Stakes going one mile on the turf at Del Mar on July 21, Ag Bullet was sent to Kentucky Downs to make her next start in the $1.5 million Grade 2 Exacta Systems Ladies Turf Sprint where she cutback again to her wheelhouse 6 1/2-furlong distance on the turf on Aug. 31. Sent off as the favorite in a 12-horse field in the Ladies Turf Sprint, Ag Bullet took control right from the start, went to the lead, and never looked back on her way to a big 5 1/4-length victory. The final time of the race in 1:14.19 over a fast track established a new course record.

Ag Bullet is trained by Richard Baltas. She was bred in Kentucky by the sire Twirling Candy out of the mare Noble Grey by Forestry.
