Pounce won her maiden in her first career race as a 2-year-old in a six-furlong dirt race at Churchill Downs on Nov. 19, 2023. She won her second race in in her third career start on the turf at Gulftstream Park in her 3-year-old debut on Feb. 11, 2024. Pounce became a stakes winner for the first time when she closed from last to first in an eight-horse field to win the Grade 3 $200,000 Herecomesthebride Stakes going one mile on the turf at Gulfstream on March 2.

Pounce was back in the winner's circle again at Saratoga when he scored in the Grade 3 $175,000 Lake George Stakes going one mile on the grass on July 20, 2024. Pounce started slow and raced mid-pack in a 10-horse field but began to make her move into the stretch and closed through the lane to get up into time for a three-quarters of a length victory.
Pounce is trained by Mark Casse. She was bred in Kentucky by the sire Lookin At Lucky out of the mare Bouncy by Twirling Candy.
