Arthur's Ride

Arthur's Ride began his career as a 2-year-old in 2022 with a pair of runner-up finishes at Saratoga and got his maiden win in his third lifetime start which came as a 3-year-old going one mile at Gulfstream Park on Feb. 11, 2023.

Following a year layoff, Arthur's Ride came back in 2024 as a 4-year-old and quickly went from a status as a first-level allowance optional claiming starter to a Grade 1 winner. Arthur's Ride won a one-mile allowance optional claiming race at Gulfstream Park by 7 1/2 lengths off a year layoff on March 16 and then followed that up with an even more impressive 12 3/4 allowance optional claiming win going 1 1/4 miles at Saratoga in wire-to-wire fashion on June 7.  Arthur's Ride then made an ambitious jump up against Grade 1 stakes company in the $1 million Whitney Stakes at Saratoga going 1 1/8 miles on Aug. 3 and was victorious atop a 10-horse field that included favored National Treasure. In the Whitney score, Arthur's Ride went right to the front, set a solid pace on a muddy track, and then extended the lead throughout to prevail by 2 1/4 lengths at the finish as the 6.90-1 third choice on the tote board. He ran the 1 1/8 miles in a time of 1:48.54.

Arthur's Ride is trained by Bill Mott. He was bred in Florida by the sire Tapit out of the mare Points of Grace by Point Given.
