A top rider in Texas, Chris Landeros moved to the Kentucky circuit in 2014 where he won three straight races at Churchill Downs in September. The rider won the Grade 3 Dixiana Bourbon Stakes on Lawn Ranger the following month, his first graded stakes win since winning the 2011 John B. Connally Turf Cup Handicap.
A top rider in Texas, Chris Landeros moved to the Kentucky circuit in 2014 where he won three straight races at Churchill Downs in September. Landeros solidified his status on the Kentucky circuit over the next three years, and also had success at other tracks in the Midwest and Southeast. He was aboard Alsvid for three graded stakes wins during 2015-2016, and picked up a win in the Grade 2 Azeri Stakes at Oaklawn Park in early 2017 aboard Streamline. In 2019 he won the Grade 2 Gulfstream Park Oaks aboard Kentucky Oaks contender Champagne Anyone.
