After growing up in a racing family, David Jacobson began training in 1976 at age 19, and he also owns his own racehorses.
To date he has amassed nearly 1,000 wins and earnings of over $30 million as a trainer. In 2013 he set the single-season record for victories at New York Racing Association tracks (Saratoga, Belmont, Aqueduct) with 160. Top horses trained by Jacobson include multiple graded stakes winner Salutos Amigos and Grade 1 winner Strapping Groom.
Jacobson owns and trains a pair of graded stakes-placed horses in Room for Me and Stallwalkin' Dude.
