Michael J. Ryan is the owner of 2018 Demoiselle Stakes winner Positive Spirit, who ran second in the Grade 2 Gazelle Stakes as a 3-year-old in 2019. Ryan also raced 2011 El Camino Real Derby winner Silver Medallion.
Ryan is a third-generation horseman raised on the family farm in County Meath, Ireland, who moved to Canada in 1974 to E.P. Taylor’s Windfields Farm for his first Thoroughbred job in North America. In 1981, he moved to Lexington to establish Mike Ryan Bloodstock.
