Michael Lund Petersen, a founding shareholder in Pandora Jewelry, became involved in the horse business during the 2010s and earned his first graded stakes win as an owner with Mor Spirit.
In 2020 his swift filly Gamine set a stakes record in the Acorn Stakes on the Belmont Stakes undercard to remain undefeated. Petersen purchased the filly for $1.8 million as a 2-year-old. Gamine went on to win the Longines Test Stakes, finish third in the Longines Kentucky Oaks, and then set a track record for seven furlongs in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint in November at Keeneland.
