RED TR-Racing is the operation of Oklahoman Richard Dawson, best known as the owner of 2022 Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve winner Rich Strike. Rich Strike pulled off an 80.80-1 upset win in that Derby, but Dawson insisted he had faith in his horse despite staggering odds and a 1-for-7 lifetime record.
“We would never, ever put a horse in a race that we didn’t think he could win,” Dawson said during an NBC post-race interview.
