Iridessa won her career debut and confirmed her class three starts later with a win in the Group 1 Bet365 Mile at Newmarket.
After running third in a Group 3 race in her 2019 season debut, Iridessa was unplaced in both the British and Irish One Thousand Guineas. Stretching out to 1 ¼ miles for the Juddmonte Pretty Polly Stakes June 28 at the Curragh, Iridessa defeated highly regarded Magic Wand to earn a second Group 1 win. Two start later she won the Group 1 Coolmore Fastnet Rock Matron Stakes by three-parts of a length at Leopartstown.

In her final prep for the Breeders’ Cup, Iridessa ran third in the Grade 1 Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes, beaten by two lengths by Billesdon Brook. She turned the tables on that familiar rival and halted Sistercharlie’s six-race winning streak and repeat bid in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf, gamely outfinishing Vasilika to prevail in a thrilling finish.
