Papetu began his career a perfect 2-for-2 in the summer of 2020. He won his debut race by five lengths at Gulfstream Park on Jun. 20, then won an allowance race by 1 1/2 lengths at the same track on Jul. 5. After those wins, Papetu was shipped up to Saratoga. He concluded his 2-year-old season with sixth-place finish in the Grade 2 Saratoga Special Stakes Presented by Miller Lite and a fifth-place finish in the Grade 1 Runhappy Hopeful Stakes.
Papetu began his career a perfect 2-for-2 in the summer of 2020. Papetu made his 3-year-old debut in the Mucho Macho Stakes at Gulfstream on Jan. 2. He finished second at 20.30-1, beaten 2 1/2 lengths. In his next two starts, he was fourth in the Grade 3 Holy Bull Stakes on Jan. 30, then third in the Grade 2 Fasig-Tipton Fountain of Youth Stakes on Feb. 27.
