He rallied from ninth place in the early stages and chased down the early leaders for the win at 4.30-1. Next out, he won the Kelly's Landing Stakes on June 25, holding off Mucho to win by a nose. Bango made it three wins in a row on July 17, taking the Good Lord Stakes at Ellis Park by five lengths.
