Forever Unbridled

A homebred runner for Charles Fipke, Forever Unbridled broke her maiden in her second start. The filly was second in the Silverbulletday Stakes in her 2015 debut before finishing third in both the Rachel Alexandra Stakes and Fair Grounds Oaks. Forever Unbridled finished 11th in the 2015 Kentucky Oaks but closed her 3-year-old season with a victory in the Grade 3 Comely Stakes in November at Aqueduct.

Forever Unbrided made a splash in her 4-year-old bow when winning the Grade 3 Houston Ladies Classic Stakes by 1 3/4 lengths and followed that up with a victory in the Grade 1 Apple Blossom Handicap. She then finished second in the Grade 1 Ogden Phipps and third in the Grade 1 Personal Ensign before finding the winner's circle again in the Grade 1 Beldame Stakes.

Her next stop was Southern California for the Longines Breeders' Cup Distaff. In a race featuring three champions, Forever Unbridled finished third, 1 1/4 lengths behind Beholder and Songbird.

After a seven-month break, Forever Unbridled showed little rust in winning the Grade 2  Fleur de Lis Handicap on June 17 at Churchill Downs in her first start as a 5-year-old. With the victory, she picked up an automatic berth to the 2017 Longines Distaff via the Breeders' Cup Challenge "Win and You're In" Series. 

In her next start, Forever Unbridled matched up against Songbird in the Grade 1 Personal Ensign Stakes on Aug. 26 at Saratoga. Under a well-timed ride from Joel Rosario, she closed stoutly to edge the champion by a neck and pick up her second win without a defeat in 2017. She extended that streak to three in her next start when she seized command in the stretch of the Longines Breeders' Cup Distaff and held off hard-charging Abel Tasman to prevail.

The Distaff victory was the fourth career Grade 1 win for Forever Unbridled and boosted her career earnings past the $3 million plateau. It also solidified her position as the top older dirt female in North America, which was confirmed in January with the Eclipse Award as champion of her division.

Forever Unbridled is by leading sire Unbridled's Song out of the Kentucky Oaks-winning mare Lemons Forever, making her a full sister to multiople Grade 1 placed Unbridled Forever. In addition to Lemons Forever, Forever Unbridled's family includes South American graded stakes winner Critikola and Fray Amor among others.
